Incoming students to South Central BOCES who have been identified as gifted in another Colorado district should ask their previous school to send the student's Advanced Learning Plan--including the Body of Evidence for gifted identification--with other school records to the new school.

​Review of the student’s data, including previous Advanced Learning Plans and body of evidence for identification, will be completed within 45 school days of enrollment.

Communication to the student's family about how the student's needs will be met, often in the form of a new ALP, will take place within 60 school days of the date of enrollment.

​Identified gifted students who transfer out of South Central BOCES schools should ensure that an updated copy of the student's Advanced Learning Plan is included with the records that are sent to the new school.
